Beaumont Technologies, Inc. was founded April 17, 1998 under the name “Beaumont Runner Technologies, Inc.” to commercialize a new plastic melt conditioning technology: the MeltFlipper®. John Beaumont, then a professor in the Plastics Engineering Technology program at Penn State Erie, invented and developed MeltFlipper® after identifying the root cause of product quality and manufacturing issues related to uneven mold filling. Over the last 25 years, the company has grown from one patent and a couple of employees to now four business units and over 100 employees. AIM is now home to the only four ANAB-Accredited training programs in the injection molding industry: Molding 1, Molding 2, Molding 3, and our Plastics Technology and Engineering (PTE) Certificate Program.
