Advancing Injection Molding Simulation with MF SOFTWARE and Beaumont

Our shared mission: Improving injection molding simulation results worldwide.

For over a decade, our partnership with MF SOFTWARE has been about one thing: working together across continents to overcome the industry’s most complex challenges by using reliable material data.

Even the most advanced simulation software is only as reliable as the material data behind it. That’s where our partnership delivers real value.

MF SOFTWARE is Europe’s largest Autodesk Moldflow reseller, with over 20,000 molds optimized and thousands of trained users across the continent. Beaumont has become the leading provider of Moldflow datasets in Europe.

Together, we’re ensuring engineers have access to the most comprehensive material characterization resources available.

Benjamin Wittmann, Marketing & Business Development Manager at MF SOFTWARE, states “Material data is the hidden champion of every great simulation and a cornerstone of our consulting expertise.”

His team focuses on helping customers shorten mold development cycles and improve part quality through advanced simulation. Work that depends entirely on accurate material data.

What This Means for You:

  • Faster optimization cycles
  • More reliable simulation interpretation
  • Access to the industry’s most comprehensive material databases
  • Expanded training opportunities, especially in simulation interpretation, across both continents

From Beaumont’s MeltFlipper® to MF SOFTWARE’s automation tools, we’re not just reselling solutions. We’re advancing the entire industry through shared expertise and continuous innovation.

Beaumont Hosts Inaugural Moldflow User Group Summit

We’re proud to announce the success of Beaumont’s inaugural Moldflow User Group Summit, held at the Manufacturer & Business Association in Erie, PA, on October 9, 2024. Nearly sixty people attended this first-time event, which showcased the latest Autodesk® Moldflow simulation methodology and plastics manufacturing trends.

As the only company in the world providing Autodesk Moldflow consulting services, training, material characterization, and software sales from a central location, Beaumont was uniquely positioned to welcome an audience of Moldflow users and plastics professionals from around the world to their hometown of Erie, Pennsylvania, for this one-day, in-person, free event.

At the event, Alex Beaumont, Beaumont’s Corporate Development Officer and Summit emcee, welcomed everyone before launching into a series of educational talks offered by a diverse speaker lineup featuring industry experts, designers, engineers, instructors, and consultants.

The team of speakers took turns presenting on optimizing Moldflow simulation workflows, leveraging the latest technical knowledge and engineering solutions for plastics simulation from their unique perspectives.

The presentations were as follows:

  • “What’s New in Moldflow 2025” offered by Hanno van Raalte, Product Manager at Autodesk
  • “STAMP…What is it?” offered by David Corsi, Design & Simulation Engineering Manager at Beaumont
  • “Moldflow vs. Moldfloor” offered by Jennifer Schmidt, Senior Instructor of Simulation at Beaumont’s American Injection Molding Institute, and Jason Travitz, Senior Instructor of Processing at Beaumont’s American Injection Molding Institute
  • “Hot Gate Insulation — Is the Default Assumption Safe?” offered by Jerry Rooney, Design & Simulation Engineer at Beaumont
  • “Moldflow Monday — Miscellaneous Moldflow Concepts, Workflows, and Best Practices” offered by Mason Myers, Principal Implementation Consultant at Autodesk
  • “How Variation in Material Can Affect Characterization and Simulation Results” offered by Jacob Trott, Material Characterization Manager at Beaumont
  • “Update on the Moldflow Material Characterization Move from Melbourne, Australia to Erie, PA” offered by Jacob Trott, Material Characterization Manager at Beaumont
  • “I Need a Moldlflow, and I Needed It Yesterday” offered by Eric Madler, Design & Simulation Engineer at Beaumont
  • “Tools to Investigate Weld Line Strength and Product Performance” offered by Matt Jaworski, Sr. Solutions Engineer PhD at Autodesk

To allow for any questions that may have been generated from the instructional sessions, along with general plastics simulation questions, attendees were treated to a dynamic “Ask Beaumont” question-and-answer panel discussion at the conclusion of the event.

The feedback generated from the event was overwhelmingly positive, and attendees were also grateful for the opportunities provided to network with other like-minded plastics thought leaders and industry professionals.

As a final value-added bonus to Summit participants, Beaumont offered attendees the opportunity to tour their main headquarters and material characterization lab, where they could see Moldflow in real-time applications. Five tours were given in total—three at the Material Characterization lab in Cranesville, PA, and two at the main headquarters in Erie, PA.

One attendee, Marco Crosio, the Senior Injection Moulding Engineer at Novo Nordisk in Denmark, said, “I think the user meeting was phenomenal. I very much enjoyed the more “practical” side of it… I’m really hoping this user group will happen again and, given managerial approval, I will definitely like to join it.”

Following the success of the Moldflow User Group Summit, plans are underway for future summits to showcase Beaumont’s passion for sharing Moldflow expertise and best practices with its expanding and diverse clientele in the plastic injection molding industry.
