K-Fair, which is billed as the No. 1 trade show for the Plastics and Rubber Industries, was held October 16-23 in Dusseldorf, Germany. It’s an eight-day event and it lived up to the hype. Seventeen halls were chock full of everything plastics and rubber. There were over three thousand exhibiting companies from fifty-six countries that were showing off their wares to more than two-hundred-thousand attendees.
Beaumont Technologies was proud to be a part of it all. Our flagship MeltFlipper® technology was featured in three of the seventeen halls. If you were fortunate enough to get the opportunity to attend K, you would most likely have seen MeltFlipper ® technology in action. MeltFlipper® was on display in an LCP connector mold in Engel’s booth in Hall 15 proving it’s essential to producing high precision moldings efficiently. REP International’s booth, located in Hall 14, demonstrated how MeltFlipper® provides more than just balance; they were highlighting how the technology can reduce cure times by as much as fifty percent. Moldex 3D and SimpaTec, located in Hall 13, demonstrated the importance of engineering success into your molds through the use of mold filling simulation during development and ensuring that MeltFlipper® is implemented into the molds melt delivery system during the build phase.
Beaumont’s John Ralston, Operations Manager, and David Rose, Technical Sales Manager spent the week at K-Fair. According to Rose: “Overall the show was a great experience! It was good to see so many of our customers from around the globe all in one place. It was equally rewarding to meet so many new and talented people from all over the world that are interested in learning so that they can drive the industry forward.”
