This month’s employee spotlight is on Jennifer Schmidt. Jenn holds a bachelor’s degree in plastics engineering technology.
While completing her degree, she worked at DSE Precision Design as a mold designer. After graduation, Jenn moved to Vermont to work for Husky Injection Molding Systems where she worked as a hot runner designer and application engineer before moving into the flow simulation department. After leaving Husky in 2011, she worked as a CAE Analyst for Intrepid Plastics Solutions for two years. Then, in 2013 Jenn joined the Beaumont team in the role of design engineer and senior Autodesk® Moldflow® Instructor.
At Beaumont, Jenn manages corporate MeltFlipper® accounts and conducts flow simulations using Autodesk® Moldflow®. Jenn is one of only 50 Expert Certified Moldflow Users in the United States. Jenn is also the lead Moldflow instructor at Beaumont’s subsidiary the American Injection Molding Institute. Jenn teaches Moldflow Fundamentals, Advanced Flow, Cool & Warp, Advisor, custom courses, and certification test prep.
“Jennifer has helped to advance Beaumont and the AIM Institute to being the leading Autodesk Moldflow authorized trainers,” said John Beaumont president and CEO of Beaumont Technologies and the American Injection Molding Institute. “Her teaching is second to none. Jenn’s 10 plus years of experience brings a lot to the team, so she really knows the ins and outs of the software, the limitations, and even some tricks. Jenn is an integral part of our team at Beaumont and the AIM Institute and we couldn’t be happier to have her.”
