Beaumont is excited to welcome three new interns to the team. All of the interns attend Penn State Erie, The Behrend College and are working toward a degree in Plastics Engineering Technology (PLET).
All interns are placed in different areas of the company based on their interest and skill-set. Beaumont is committed to enriching the education of PLET students by offering internships and co-ops that provide hands-on, industry experience.

What do you like most about working at Beaumont? My favorite part about Beaumont is the work environment and the people who work here. Also, I’m finally able to apply some of the skills I’ve been learning in my classes. I have learned a few tricks in CREO which has made one of my modeling classes easier.

What activities are you involved in on campus? I work in the plastics lab; I troubleshoot and set-up KM 80 190 CD machine for use in the plastics classes.
What do you like most about working at Beaumont? I like that I can gain practical experience from what I learn in school. A lot of the work I do in the lab (running machines, cleaning molds, learning about melt flow and MeltFlipper®) made a huge difference for my Introduction to Plastics Processing (PLET 222) class. I’m sure this experience will help for future courses as well.

What do you like most about working at Beaumont? I really like the people I work with at Beaumont and the opportunity to gain more knowledge about the plastics industry. Beaumont has taught me about melt rotation technology and the process of working through a project in Autodesk® Moldflow®, both of which help me in my courses this semester.
