ERIE, PA — Beaumont Technologies, a global plastics engineering leader, soon will be sharing insights with readers of Plastics Engineering magazine, the official publication of the Society of Plastics Engineers.
According to Dave Hoffman, senior instructor at Beaumont, editors at Plastics Engineering contacted him to discuss recent technical papers published by Beaumont and presented the idea for ongoing contributions to the magazine. The publication is distributed internationally in both print and digital formats.
“We’ve earned a reputation for challenging accepted standards in injection molding,” said Hoffman. “Our approach to plastics engineering is to question everything in pursuit of a higher level of understanding of plastic flow, mold design and the injection molding process.”
Hoffman added that he expects plastics engineers and technicians as well as mold makers and designers will find the content to be highly relevant.
“Our objective is to apply a critical thinking process that helps solves root cause problems rather than simply treats symptoms in the injection molding process,” noted Hoffman. “It’s a science-based process that produces innovative, cost-saving ideas.”
