Beaumont Technologies, Inc. was founded April 17, 1998 under the name “Beaumont Runner Technologies, Inc.” to commercialize a new plastic melt conditioning technology: the MeltFlipper®. John Beaumont, then a professor in the Plastics Engineering Technology program at Penn State Erie, invented and developed MeltFlipper® after identifying the root cause of product quality and manufacturing issues related to uneven mold filling. Over the last 25 years, the company has grown from one patent and a couple of employees to now four business units and over 100 employees. Take a look at some reflections shared by long term members of the Beaumont Family of Companies, starting with John Beaumont himself:

“The past 25 years have been quite a ride. John Ralston and I started with virtually nothing but debt and confidence that we could make a difference in the world of the injection molding industry. We began incubating in a small side room off the plastics lab at Penn State Erie. Within a year of introducing our earliest form of MeltFlipper® to the industry, we were able to bring in two of my early standout engineering graduates and be supported by a team of interns and co-op students.

We gradually climbed out of debt and into our own facility, while adding more and more offerings to the industry. Over the past 25 years we have continued to grow with an incredible team that includes over 30 engineers. Globally, we serve many of the most technologically advanced companies in virtually every industry. We have continued to introduce a number of revolutionary technologies and have had numerous industry firsts. We have integrated diverse industry offerings that include research, technology & process development, Autodesk Moldflow & engineering services, material characterization, specialized custom molding and product development. We have developed the first ANAB accredited educational programs designed specifically for practicing professionals working in and around the injection molding industry.
What can I say…. I love what I do and have been blessed to work with an outstanding group of individuals– many of whom I see as friends. It’s been a hell of an adventure, yet I feel we have only just begun.”

“It amazes me to see what this small business has grown into since day one of walking into John Beaumont’s office and him finding an open space for me to work– now a business that employs nearly 100 people in 3 different locations across 4 different business units. It has been an incredible experience helping this company grow over the years with a lot of personal blood, sweat, and tears…literally to all three of those…and seeing the lives impacted based on what we do here, both with internal employees and external customers.”

David Hoffman, Director, The AIM Institute

“I first interned for this company in 2001. At that time there were 3 full time employees and I was the intern. That same core group is still here. The company has grown into and out of multiple buildings through the years. For me, it is amazing to see that the core people and mission of the company has always stayed the same. The Beaumont Family of Companies exists to be a place where employees love coming to work and as a group we strive to revolutionize the injection molding industry. After all of these years, I can’t be more thankful and am proud to still be a part of this group.”
