CONNECT Virtual Conference 2026

We are excited to share that Beaumont is sponsoring and participating in the upcoming MF Software CONNECT Virtual Conference!

On June 16, from 3:30 PM to 4:15 PM, Beaumont’s own Jacob Trott will take the virtual stage to tackle one of the most critical challenges in modern plastics engineering. His presentation, “Syncing Systems: How Test Lab Parameters Translate to Simulation Performance,” will delve into bridging the gap between ideal laboratory conditions and real-world manufacturing.

“Simulation accuracy is only as good as the data behind it. In this session, Jacob will discuss how material characterization must reflect real-world production conditions to deliver reliable simulation results. Attendees will gain insight into why understanding a material’s chemical makeup and processing requirements before testing is critical to bridging the gap between lab data and production-floor performance.”

Jacob Trott

Happy 15th Work Anniversary, Kevin Rottinghaus!

We are incredibly proud to celebrate a major milestone for Kevin as he marks his 15th year with Beaumont Technologies. To honor the occasion, we sat down with him for a Q&A to reflect on his journey.

What is your favorite memory from your time here?

“My favorite memory would probably be my first NPE back in 2012. We were such a small company that pretty much all of us who were working for Beaumont back then were there—even Betty Beaumont!

Meet Kevin Rottinghaus: Beaumont’s Senior Sales Manager for the Midwest

Kevin grew up in Woodbury, Minnesota, and went to Saint Cloud State University and the University of River Falls Wisconsin. Kevin now lives in Somerset, Wisconsin with his wife Megan and their two boys, Jude and Lincoln.

His journey into plastics started 18 years ago at a small injection molding company in Wisconsin. Kevin threw himself into learning everything he could about the industry. He took all of AIM’s development courses, plus training with industry leaders Mike Sepe and John Bozzelli, to build his knowledge in injection molding. He also provided consulting for some clients on how to improve part and tooling design to reduce costs and lead-times.

Kevin joined Beaumont Technologies in February 2011, and now he’s a Senior Sales Manager covering much of the U.S. But his impact goes beyond sales. He’s President of SPE Upper Midwest, founded Molding Our Future (a non-profit that introduces kids to injection molding as a career), and regularly guest lectures at UW-Stout’s Plastics Engineering Program.

His customers love working with him because he responds quickly and always has an answer. And when he doesn’t? He picks up the phone and calls one of Beaumont’s engineers who does.

In Kevin’s own words: “We’re here to help the industry. If your company touches injection molding, we can help. If it’s not us, I’ll connect you to the right partner.”

Fun Fact: Kevin and his family are hardcore ice fishermen. We’re talking days on a frozen Wisconsin lake in a custom fish house that’s more like a luxury RV, complete with a fireplace, TVs, and a sectional sofa. Now that’s commitment to the hobby!

Whether you need help with simulation, material characterization, or world-class training, Kevin and the Beaumont team are here for you. ✨

Advancing Injection Molding Simulation with MF SOFTWARE and Beaumont

Our shared mission: Improving injection molding simulation results worldwide.

For over a decade, our partnership with MF SOFTWARE has been about one thing: working together across continents to overcome the industry’s most complex challenges by using reliable material data.

Even the most advanced simulation software is only as reliable as the material data behind it. That’s where our partnership delivers real value.

MF SOFTWARE is Europe’s largest Autodesk Moldflow reseller, with over 20,000 molds optimized and thousands of trained users across the continent. Beaumont has become the leading provider of Moldflow datasets in Europe.

Together, we’re ensuring engineers have access to the most comprehensive material characterization resources available.

Benjamin Wittmann, Marketing & Business Development Manager at MF SOFTWARE, states “Material data is the hidden champion of every great simulation and a cornerstone of our consulting expertise.”

His team focuses on helping customers shorten mold development cycles and improve part quality through advanced simulation. Work that depends entirely on accurate material data.

What This Means for You:

  • Faster optimization cycles
  • More reliable simulation interpretation
  • Access to the industry’s most comprehensive material databases
  • Expanded training opportunities, especially in simulation interpretation, across both continents

From Beaumont’s MeltFlipper® to MF SOFTWARE’s automation tools, we’re not just reselling solutions. We’re advancing the entire industry through shared expertise and continuous innovation.

Wrapping Up Summer with Our Annual Beaumont Picnic 2025

We wrapped up summer with our annual Beaumont company picnic! It was one of those perfect days filled with sunshine, and great food.

It’s always special to see our coworkers, and their families, and even pets- all come together outside of work. The afternoon was filled with laughter and plenty of activities. From sack races to yard games, and finishing with an exciting raffle with prizes including a 50-inch LED TV, 25 ft Bounce House, Jeep Power Wheel, and more.

There was no down-time with kids bouncing throughout the day, while Steelers fans gathered to watch a live stream of the game. There was plenty of never ending BBQ.

A huge thank you to all our team members and their families who make Beaumont special each day. This is our way of saying thank you.

The Screw Bounce Mystery Solved? One AIM Instructor’s Unexpected Discovery

David Hoffman, the director of Beaumont‘s American Injection Molding (AIM) Institute, recently published his research on Screw Bounce in Plastics Technology magazine!

If you’re an injection molding processor, you’ve undoubtedly encountered screw bounce and perhaps either ignored it or came up with an unproven reason in your head as to why it is happening…just like David used to do.

But shortly after a student in AIM’s hands-on Molders’ Series course asked a seemingly unrelated question about a more precise calculation of shot size and transfer position settings, Hoffman and his team initiated research that ultimately led to a new understanding of screw bounce and how it actually affects the calculations that the student was referring to.

Read about the research here → https://hubs.ly/Q03gqZQF0 (pages 18 to 24)

We applaud all the instructors at the AIM Institute for their passion for research. They embody our mission of advancing the injection molding industry by challenging accepted norms and never being satisfied with the status quo!
