Process Technician I (Production Division)

Reports to: Lead Process Engineer
Monday through Friday, Second Shift

Position Summary:
Entry level position. This position is responsible for learning various molding operations conducted within the Beaumont Advanced Processing’s production division. These molding operations could be for material handling and/or mold setting. All work is performed on injection molding machines and the various auxiliary equipment that is used in the injection molding industry. The Process Technician I role is a learning role in which the employee will be educating on how to complete the various tasks at the molding machine.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure implementation and maintenance of policies and provisions of the quality manual
  • Resin drying
  • Resin mixing
  • Cleaning grinders
  • Cleaning blenders/mixers
  • Performing moisture analysis
  • Mold Setting
  • Mold Plumbing
  • EOAT Setup (connecting EOAT to robot)
  • Maintenance of injection molds and inserts
  • Maintaining cleanliness of work area
  • All other tasks and duties assigned

Requirements:

  • Microsoft experience preferred
  • Experience in the injection molding industry
  • Able to work in a team environment
  • Attention to detail
  • May require lifting items over 15 pounds

Tool Maker I

Reports to: Tooling Manager
Monday through Friday, First Shift (Overtime available as needed)

Position Summary:
This is a learning position with the tooling division of Beaumont Advanced Processing. Team player able to work in a fast-paced environment. Manufacture tooling for injection molds utilizing mold making machinery including manual Bridgeport, surface grinders, EDM, and manual lathes. Employee will also perform mold fitting and assembly.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate equipment such as lathes, grinders, and milling machines
  • Construct and repair tooling modifications
  • Troubleshoot tooling process problems
  • Maintain, dismantle, repair, and replace mechanical, tooling and mold components
  • Assist the Engineering Department in developing methods to incorporate process and product improvement
  • Set up and operate CNC machine tools is a plus
  • Plan sequences of operations for fabricating tools using blueprints, sketches, or models
  • Determine quality of finished products, ensuring defect-free parts, by verifying dimensions, alignment, and specifications using measuring instruments
  • Use various hand or power tools
  • Assemble and disassemble molds
  • Responsibility for continuous improvement, corrective action, and quality of products
  • Follow established safety procedures according to company and OSHA standards
  • All other duties and tasks assigned

Requirements:

  • Possess problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Read and interpret mold drawings
  • Basic understanding of math
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time. May also need to bend and stoop
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds
  • CNC Mill, Lathe, EDM/Wire EDM experience will be a plus
  • May require travel between Erie, PA and Sugar Grove, PA facilities

Mold Designer I

Reports to: Engineering Manager
Monday through Friday, First Shift

Position Summary:
This position is a learning role within the Beaumont Advanced Processing Tooling Division.  The Mold Designer I is responsible for learning to design molds to produce products and meet customer specifications and deadlines. Highly skilled and professional employee who can work in a fast-paced, quality focused, growing company.

Responsibilities:

  • Design injection molding tools
  • Create product and tooling models and drawings
  • Deliver designs and uses data to make sound engineering decisions
  • Ensure adherence to design guidelines
  • Work in a team environment while also working independently
  • Ensure on-time delivery of assigned tasks and projects
  • Strong collaboration skills – works effectively and cooperatively with all appropriate departments
  • Work directly with customers to determine design and tool requirements
  • Suggest improvements to product design for manufacturability or end use requirements
  • Conduct internal design reviews
  • Troubleshoot and correct molded part defects and tolerance issues
  • Responsibility for continuous improvement, corrective action, and quality of products
  • Follow established safety procedures according to company and OSHA standards
  • All other duties and tasks assigned

Requirements:

  • Experience with solid modeling software required
  • Basic understanding of injection molds and mold manufacturing
  • Possess problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Possible travel between Erie, PA and Sugar Grove, PA facilities

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Plastics Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Previous mold design experience
  • Previous experience in tool and die or injection molding industry
