Graphic Designer & Animator

Beaumont’s Graphic Designer and Animator will be responsible for creating both 3D and 2D graphics and animations for Beaumont and the American Injection Molding (AIM) Institute.

(S)he will be responsible for creating new and original graphics and animations, product videos, training materials, and a variety of additional digital assets.

This individual must be a self-starter and be able to reliably complete projects and deliverables within clearly defined deadlines.

The successful candidate will possess a keen attention to detail.

Candidates will be asked to show examples of work during the interview process.

Essential Job Functions
• Creating and editing a wide variety of 3D and 2D graphics and animations, including but not limited to: layouts, videos for product illustrations, company logos, training materials, and website content.
• Reliably meeting deadlines and creating visual assets that meet project specifications.
• Coordinating with outside agencies as required, including but not limited to graphics designers, video production teams, and printers.

Required Skills and Experience
• Strong familiarity with graphic design and animation software
– Autodesk Maya or Maxon Cinema 4D, or similar
– Adobe Creative Suite: Illustrator, Photoshop, + After Effects
• Strong graphic design skills

Senior R&D Engineer


  • The Senior R&D Engineer will be responsible for developing and executing new technologies, and working with sales, marketing and business development to bring these technologies/methods/products to market for application within one of Beaumont’s business units.
    (S)he will support sales and marketing by acting as the lead technical liaison regarding new developments. This would include developing content for technical articles and for presentations at technical conferences.
  • The Sr. R&D Engineer will oversee and conduct R&D initiatives at Beaumont Technology. This would include working closely with and supporting the AIM Institute instructors who are all charged with conducting research.
    Responsibilities would include leading R&D initiatives to improve operations within the various Beaumont business groups. Also, to develop and manage a rotational R&D group of Beaumont employees to help identify R&D activities that could improve in-house operations.
  • (S)he will also provide technical assistance within the range of Beaumont companies. This could include AIM’s new course and program developments, assessment of prospective technology partnerships, assistance with manufacturing, or other commercial groups, regarding polymer material related issues and challenges.
  • The Sr. R&D Engineer will have a secondary role of assisting with course development and teaching within Beaumont Technologies’ subsidiary, the American Injection Molding (AIM) Institute. Teaching activities would be focused on polymer materials.


Required Skills and Experience

  • Strong background in polymers
  • PhD or MS degree in a polymer related field preferred, with an undergraduate degree in Plastics Engineering Technology.
  • Must be mechanically inclined and hands on
  • Self- starter
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • 5+ years of practical industry experience including but not limited to:
    • Set-up and optimization of an injection molding process
    • Familiarity with capillary rheometer, DSC, and other misc. material characterization methods
    • 3D computer modeling
    • Autodesk Moldflow software

Day to day Activities will include:

  • Hands on work with various software programs, injection molding machines and various material characterization equipment.
  • Assist with all aspect of development of Beaumont’s existing technologies.

    • Engineering polymer characterization for simulation programs
    • Melt rotation technology
    • Other proprietary technologies
  • Coordinate with sales, marketing and business development regarding any new technologies.
  • Present technologies at conferences
  • Work with our partnering technology companies (currently includes)
    • RocTool
    • iMFLUX
    • Moldflow
    • Other
  • Oversee R&D activities
  • Maintain budgets and activity records for R&D projects
  • Develop new project proposals.
    • Identify potential market needs
    • Identify in-house needs (within the Beaumont companies)
    • Identify costs, resources and establish timelines
