Part filling Analysis
Part filling analysis determines the optimum fill time and process window with the minimum amount of pressure to fill.

Gates: Locations/Number/Sizes
We can help determine the best possible gate location(s) to produce optimum parts. Other advantages of this analysis include a reduction in gate-related defects, elimination of hesitation problems, proper gate sizing, as well as minimizing the potential for warp.

Cooling Layout Optimization
This services optimizes the layout of the mold cooling channels to ensure turbulent flow and efficient cooling to all areas of a part. This is a critical step in determining part quality and eliminating a source for warp.

Warp Analysis
The warp analysis will analyze the part design and mold design as a whole, while predicting the direction and approximate magnitude the part will warp. The output can be broken down into thermal, orientation, and volumetric effects so that the analyst can focus on the main cause(s) and recommend solutions to reduce the potential for warp.

Runner Design and Sizing
This services optimizes the size of runners to minimize material scrap without exceeding pressure requirements. A key factor is to ensure that the part will still be able to be packed properly with the downsized runners.

Weld line and Air Trap Locations
This analysis output identifies air trap and weld line locations, as well as possible related defects. If these problems cannot be eliminated, the analysis can aid in strategically locating the weld lines and air traps so it can then be corrected by means of mold design strategies.

Family Molds
Family molds are made easier through optimum mold design strategies, including finding the ideal gate locations, runner sizes and process settings to help ensure a pressure balanced filling condition.

Optimum Process Conditions
BTI can help identify the ideal injection time range, the required fill pressure and clamp tonnage, and desired melt/mold temperatures. This data provides a starting point during the initial mold sampling.
